The magnetic dipoles of the electrons in a shell are subject to mutual entanglement. Each electron influences the other dipoles from its place in the shell and is in turn influenced by them.


Under the influence of an external magnetic field, the magnetic dipoles are partially aligned towards the external field. Partially only because the mutual entanglement of the electrons is not destroyed.
