With the inclusion of the orientations of the magnetic dipoles of the electrons in LEWIS's cube model, LANGMUIR's prediction that "the structure of atoms is determined by forces whose nature is unknown to us" gets on new content.

To illustrate this, two tetrahedra are inserted into a cube. Their corners represent the orientation of the magnetic dipoles with their poles towards the nucleus.

For the pink tetrahedron, let the north poles of the electrons be directed inwards. Then for the green tetrahedron, the north poles are directed outwards. In sum, the dipoles form a perfect balance with each other.
